چکیده
To avoid unwanted complications during the extraction of impacted mandibular teeth pre-operative investigations are required to plan best protocol for situation. Although 3D imaging modalities provide clear picture, because their reduced accessibility and high cost panoramic radiography is more preferred planning third molar extraction. : assess associate pattern impactions with associated radiological risk predictors in relation age sex using Orthopantomogram a Tertiary Dental Care Centre Kerala. This retrospective cross-sectional study digital radiographic records subjects molar. Data collected will be analysed Descriptive statistics Chi square test. Associations differences considered significant when p value less than 0.05. Out 710 impactions, 368 (51.8%) belong females 342 (48.2%) males. The highest frequency (73.2%) belonged 20-24-year group. predominant impaction was mesioangular impactions. Among darkening root having (40%); followed by interruption white line canal, (34.9%). signs correlated impaction, shows statistically results deflection root. متن کاملPattern of mandibular third molar impaction and its association to caries in mandibular second molar: A clinical variant
BACKGROUND Caries in second molar is common and prophylactic removal of the impacted teeth may be considered appropriate. Caries detection and restoration can be difficult and a restored second molar can undergo recurrent caries if the third molar is not removed prophylactically. In this study, the clinical findings related to impaction and its association with angular position and depth of imp...

OBJECTIVE To determine the prevalence of impacted mandibular second molar (MM2) and the association between MM2 impaction and crowding. The clinical significance of the angle between first and second mandibular molar and of the space between the first mandibular molar (MM1) and the anterior margin of mandibular ramus in MM2 impaction were also evaluated.
